Modi gets a befitting reply from Taliban leader Shahabuddin Delawar

Taliban leader Shahabuddin Delawar stated that India will soon know that the Taliban can run the country’s affairs smoothly, in response to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s statement forming reservations on the sustainability of the new government in Afghanistan.

Modi stated that “an empire on the basis of terror may dominate for some time but its existence is never permanent”, to which the Taliban responded.

The Indian premier, while criticizing the Taliban on Twitter he tweeted (in hindi): “The destroying powers, the thinking that builds an empire on the basis of terror, may dominate for some time in a period of time, but, its existence is never permanent, it cannot suppress humanity for a long time.”

The Taliban completed a fast takeover of the country, finally walking into Kabul on Aug 16 without firing a single shot.

The group declared the war in Afghanistan to be over after taking complete control of the presidential palace in the Afghan capital Kabul.

“Today is a great day for the Afghan people and the mujahideen. They have witnessed the fruits of their efforts and their sacrifices for 20 years,” Mohammad Naeem, the spokesman for the Taliban’s political office, had told Private news channel.

Although the group has pursued a more modest face since its takeover.

According to multiple statements by Taliban spokesmen, presently the Taliban is in talks with a range of leaders and politicians in Afghanistan to formulate an “inclusive government” to run the country.

Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid stated that the Afghan Taliban assured the government that the barred Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) would not be given the approval to operate in Afghanistan against Pakistan.

“The Afghan Taliban have reassured [us] that Afghanistan’s land will not be allowed to be used in any case by the TTP,” Rashid had said at a press conference in Islamabad.
